Cervélo’s legacy is deeply embedded in the world of road cycling. From their initial test bikes ridden on CGV downtown to their triumphs in the Tour de France with Jonas Vingegaard, their dedication to road cycling has been unwavering. While they’ve ventured into gravel and cyclocross, it wasn’t until late 2022 that they made a significant leap into mountain biking with the introduction of the ZHT. This move was a precursor to their more specialized ZFS model, crafted for the rigors of World Cup racing and occasional downcountry adventures. Among these, the ZFS-5 stands out with its exceptional combination of lightness, stiffness, and performance tailored specifically for cross-country racers.
The goal for this particular build was to create a bike that excels in climbing and overall weight efficiency. It features 100mm of travel from the Fox 32 Factory Step-Cast fork, paired with the lightest XC race wheels available from Reserve. The result is a high-performance cross-country race machine designed to tackle the most demanding courses with agility and speed.
